About C2PA Lab

C2PA Lab is a simple, private browser-based tool for checking Content Credentials and understanding C2PA provenance. It helps ordinary people read what a credential says, and helps developers inspect the underlying manifest.

How processing works

All inspection runs locally in your browser using WebAssembly. Files never leave your device, no file content or manifest data is transmitted to any server, and nothing is retained after you leave the page.

What we claim — and don't

C2PA Lab reports evidence, not verdicts. A verified signature is not a claim that content is true, and missing credentials are not evidence of manipulation or AI generation. The tool never produces authenticity percentages.

C2PA Lab is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity, Adobe, or any C2PA member. For the authoritative standard, see the official C2PA specifications.
